Default Who pays the delivery back? Uponerepos

Hi, I recently purchased a 1959 Corvette from Uponerepos(Uponerepos). The car is in great shape for its age, and the price fits my budget. I must mention that I'm still under the 14 days inspection period. However, in the meantime, another Vette('61 this time) appeared on their website. I was thinking of rejecting mine and buying the '61 one. The price is around the same, same mileage, but I like the color more. Does anyone know if I can do that? I mean, I didn't find any issue with the car. It's just, let say, my taste. If I choose to reject it, do I have to pay the delivery back fees? Can I do that?

Why would you do that in the first place? I'm sure they accept it back because that's their policy, but what's the point? I understand the color is a matter of taste, but too many headaches. Just my humbling opinion

They will accept it back because they have no question asked policy, so yes, you can reject it for any reason. But think about the people who bid on it and lose it because you won. That will be selfish.

Yes, you can do that, but the question is, are you sure you will win the 61 one? Better safe than sorry. Think about that

That's just ridiculous. What if any single buyer will do that? I wouldn't do it either. Just sell yours and buy the new one. Simple as that. Why should they accept your shit? Your choice was made....what's the point

Simple because he can! That's their policy and if you ask me, go ahead. It's your right.

Yes, if you want, go ahead. With a simple call, you will have your funds back within 48 hours. Just don't tell them you want the 61 one. As soon as you have the funds, you can go ahead and bid on the new one.

Thanks for your answers guys. The bid on the 61 one is way over my budget, so I'll stick with mine.

Default Why no tag pictures.

Why do people when posting a picture of their Corvette after doing mods...will anything for that matter.
Hide or block out the license plate numbers.
I mean you drive all over the country..thousand see the tags..they actually pay more attention than normal because..well it's a Corvette.
So why do you block out tag info ?? From forum members. Do you black out when driving.

this has always amazed me. Its a public item that is not even owned by the driver/owner. It belongs to the state and identifies your car and driver essentially. Public information.

If doing something illegal I get it. but pictures? or basic videos?

This has been beaten to death since 1999 in here. It's a personal choice, it's totally up to the poster to show it, or hide it.

New members join everyday. Opinions and reasons change because of world issues. World a whole different place than 1999. I never saw the question in my almost 10 years here.

About the only time it would really make sense is if you were doing a Craigslist (or other) . When you would want to hide all information, location, ownership, etc. if YOU were ming. Like the beautiful new boat that was being sold as a new "Florida" boat, but had mountains in the back rounds of many pics, and state of Washington Registration numbers on the hull. Also, "free delivery" every time - cause they have a "friend" in the transport business that coincidently has to make a run that goes right by your place!!

Good question, it makes absolutely no sense at all. Hopefully one of the owners that follow this practice will read this thread and respond.

Have you ever noticed why some forum members do not indicate their location in their profile ? Probably the same reason.

Unless you're in law enforcement, is there any way to get info based on the plate? Mine has a personalized plate that's the name of the car. It's kinda cool so I don't bother hiding it in pics. I figure if someone was gonna use it to find someone and break into their house, they'd probably spend time on other message boards with significantly more expensive cars.

Ashamed, some states have the worst (being nice) looking plates ever conceived. If that isn't enough we have two stickers that are placed on the windshield to show inspection status. The only good thing is we only have one ugly plate to contend with.

I agree .. it makes no sense ... but there are threads showing off owners vanity plates ... and those are blacked out.

A possible reason is that you can never tell who you might rub wrong on a discussion group and have a to and fro which sets off an unbalanced poster who might want to track you down. If you had a picture of your plate thats a good starting point. Might sound far fetched but there are a lot of crazies in this world.

My guess is since some on car forums like to start crap with people they dont want to get tracked down or seen on the road and get in a fight. Or its possible some thief can see a nice house, cars and how much money someone makes posted on a forum and has a source for DMV info. Or have some creepy forum dude stalk you if you are a woman. I'm pretty sure you can get license plate info if you really want it, depends on the state I would imagine, never really tried myself..

Not to mention the people who post videos or talk about how they went 160mph on a public road and post pics of their car.

Its not the same as people driving down the road and seeing your plate, they have no idea who you are. Why do TV crews blur our faces of people who dont want to be shown.

Why does Google Earth blur out license plates.?

Personally I can care less either way
